BlitzClick Software releases Savvy Clipboard 2.5

BlitzClick Software today released Savvy Clipboard 2.5, an update to its popular clipboard manager for Mac OS X on PowerPC and Intel-based Mac's.

About Savvy Clipboard

Savvy Clipboard adds multiple Clipboard capability to Mac OS X by storing a list of items the user copied to the Clipboard. It facilitates copying and pasting repeated items, as well as storing frequently used data fragments of various types. Also, it offers handy features for working with text fragments, passwords and email addresses, editing text items, and more.

About Version 2.5

Version 2.5 adds a new capability that will come handy for many users: it now supports brief descriptions to items, which is particularly handy for managing passwords and links.
Other enhancements improve the overall stability and add more convenience in using the program.

  1. You can now label your Clipboard items with short text descriptions. This helps finding and selecting the needed item quickly, which facilitates managing your passwords, emails and all kinds of links.
  2. The Savvy Clipboard Popup Menu that can be called by hot keys (to save your screen space) will now appear right under the mouse cursor, making it easier to select the item you want.
  3. Now it's easy to check for program updates:
    You can have the program check for updates automatically, or do it manually by clicking "Check Now" in its Preferences at any time.
    If an update to Savvy Clipboard is available, the program will offer you to view the Version Changes, and you'll be able to download the update from the product website.
  4. The "Clear All" command is now available both from the application's context menu and from any item's context menu.
  5. The "Paste as Plain Text" functionality improved.
  6. Interaction with MS Office applications improved.
  7. Several bugs fixed, and the program has become more stable.

Availability

Savvy Clipboard 2.5 is available as a download (950 KB) from www.blitzclicksoft.com/products.php.
It comes as a shareware version.
Upon registration, the extended features become available (e.g., you can then edit clipboard text and specify how many clipboard items Savvy Clipboard — as well as its Popup Menu — should store).

For users of the previous versions of this clipboard manager, the update is available for free.
